596E is the group recipient callsign used by Sevastopol Naval Base (CW callsign RCV, voice Gvoazdika) when transmitting Monolit messages in morse, taking its cue to transmit from WEGI. It will typically send around the same time as Pip and Buzzer in response to the WEGI message. 596E is the updated callsign in use as of late December 2020, previously being ONG4 for several years. Messages for 596E also occasionally appear on the voice and morse channels of the Pip. Apart from that, some messages sent out first by Pip get relayed on different channels for 596E. It also has a strong connection to the network of XHOP, transmitting on the same frequencies (for example 7931khz). Apart from that, messages for both A2CA (used by the channel of REA4) and 596E were sent on several occasions, they also included a couple of other known callsigns. |
